- Practice quizzes
- Live virtual review with Bill on Zoom for up to one hour
- Theory assessment
- Additional training and assessments at no additional charge when Bill determines they are appropriate
Refund Eligibility
Full Refund Before Orientation Completion
The $99 Hazmat tuition is refundable until the student completes the initial 15-minute orientation with Bill Collins.
After Orientation
Once the initial orientation has been completed, tuition becomes non-refundable.
Exceptions may be made where required by law or at True North CDL’s discretion.
Refund Amount
When a refund is due under this policy, the student receives the full amount paid. Payment-processing fees are not deducted from the refund.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Students should provide at least 2 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling a scheduled appointment.
Students may contact True North CDL using the contact information or scheduling method provided with their registration.
Appointments cancelled with appropriate notice may be rescheduled subject to availability.
No-Show Policy
One missed appointment without the required notice may be rescheduled.
After a second no-show, the student loses any remaining refund eligibility.
If the initial orientation has already been completed, the tuition is already non-refundable under the refund policy above.
True North CDL may require the student to coordinate directly with Bill before additional sessions are scheduled after repeated no-shows.
Additional Training and Assessment Attempts
True North CDL’s goal is for students to understand the required Hazmat theory material.
When Bill determines additional instruction or another assessment attempt is appropriate, additional training and assessments may be provided at no additional charge. There is no set number of attempts.
This does not guarantee that any student will pass an assessment or qualify for an endorsement.
Students are expected to participate in good faith and complete assigned training materials.
Technology Problems
If a technical problem prevents a student or Bill from reasonably completing a scheduled virtual session, True North CDL will work with the student to reschedule the affected session.
Students are responsible for maintaining reliable internet access, a working camera and a working microphone.
Identity and Participation
The enrolled student must personally participate in the training.
Students must show a valid driver’s license, which Bill visually verifies. True North CDL does not store a copy of the physical license; it may retain the driver’s license number for Training Provider Registry reporting and a student photograph for identity, audit and training-record purposes.
Course access may not be transferred to another individual.
Another person may not complete training, quizzes or assessments for the enrolled student.
Course Materials
Course materials are for the enrolled student’s personal training use only. They may not be:
- Downloaded unless expressly provided as a download
- Saved or archived for redistribution
- Copied
- Screen-recorded
- Shared
- Sold
- Posted online
- Used to train another person
Employer-Paid Training
When an employer purchases training for a driver, the enrolled driver remains responsible for personally completing the training and identity-verification process.
Payment by an employer does not change the student’s training or assessment requirements.
For employer-sponsored training, True North CDL may provide the sponsoring employer with appropriate training information, including attendance, completion status, assessment score and completion documentation, consistent with applicable law and the training arrangement.
